Leadership Tuesdays: Integrity In Real Time (974 hits)

It's November and we are deep in football season. With the Indianpolis Colts struggling and star quarterback Peyton Manning injured, I thought back to their heyday when Coach Tony Dungy was at the helm. I was also reminded of a quote on Twitter that I ran across some time ago by one of my favorite NFL coaches:

@TonyDungy: Integrity does not come in degrees - low, medium or high. You either have integrity or you do not. I read it and then inserted the question: "Do you have it?" And then I hit "Retweet" button.

Who knew that in just a few hours my own question as well as Tony Dungy's quote would be echoing in my thoughts? Later that afternoon, I sat in Traffic Court in Washington, D.C. waiting on a Hearing for a ticket I had gotten for having my cell phone up to my ear while driving. I wasn't even talking on the dog-gone phone. I had the phone up to my ear because...

The pastor at the church I attend has often said, "If you can't be trusted with small things, you won't do well with big things." We attract and behave, think, etc. based on what we focus on and let dwell in our system. That's why it's beneficial to focus our thoughts and energy on good. Denise - www.writemoneyinc.com

Yes, we should dedicate our energies to good things and minimize all other unnecessary things. Thanks for your feedback, Denise.

Hello to All,

You all say that we, Black Americans should focus our thoughts and energy on good.
What better good could we focus our thoughts and energy on but the desire to be a sovereign free people in our own country?

Picture your selves as the children of Israel when they were not a free people. They focused their thoughts and energy on desiring to be a free people, am I right.

Now, since Black America's situation today is the same as what the children of Israel's situation were 4000 years ago in Egypt should it not prompt you all to do as I have asked and that is to desire to become a sovereign free people on a reasonable and fertile portion of this continent that we could call our very own country with borders in my lifetime to worship God, pursue life, liberty, happiness and prosperity in our own way?

This is something else that I positively know and that is Black Americans are going to inherit a portion of this continent that we could call our very own country with borders.

Tell me what you think.
