Mission
Our mission is to transform leadership to sustain the next generation by empowering, enriching and educating girls to become innovative leaders and good will-ambassadors of the world.

Vision
To be the preferred girls leadership initiative with a global brand of high potential, responsible, positive, effective environmental and innovative leaders.

Overview
Annually, A-WOW IGLI host an exchange students two-week conference for girls, age 16-21. The conference will provide all students with a unique, cross-cultural learning experience, via lectures, workshops and team-building exercises. The goal is to engage and inspire the students to become innovative leaders and good will-ambassadors of their world, particularly focusing on leadership and skills development, community services, multiculturalism, health and green environmental innovations.
Broadly speaking, the program attracts three types of leaders:
1) Those that have or planning to develop an innovative idea to address a specific social problem in a pattern-breaking, sustainable and scalable way
2) Those that will work in and or build the infrastructure needed for social entrepreneurial work to take root.
3) Those who will spur others to act on a national or global scale to address particular social problems through various avenues, such as media, the arts, and individuals who want to improve the operations and management systems of public, private and non-profit organizations.

We have chosen to focus on the work of leadership rather than just on the personal characteristics of individual leadership. We believe sustainable and scalable efforts require contributions from people in multiple roles.

The A-WOW International Girls Leadership Initiative conference is two weeks of high-level teaching, mentoring and coaching programs designed to help young girls reach their goals and dreams. It is all about "decisive action and sacred support" for those who are serious about achievements and doing whatever it takes with a “no-excuses” approach. A-WOW IGLI wants to help them share their leadership skills with the world.

The conference will begin August 7, 2011, and will end on August 20, 2011. Sessions will be Sunday thru Saturday, 7:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Participants will attend scheduled tours at large and small businesses. There will also be various excursion activities and field trips. In addition, they participate in numerous competitions. After each competition, an award is given to a recognized student.

A-WOW will host a graduation ceremony upon completion of the program, and each student will earn a certification of completion.

The Company Objectives
A-WOW believes in the learning method of a direct, hands-on experience. The activities we offer are simulative, allowing students the opportunity to test their leadership skills, debate current issues, deliver speeches, draft resolutions, make executive decisions, and realize through experience the complexities of international relations. Their participating and interaction provokes communication and dialogue that, throughout the weeks, provide an unparalleled learning experience and cross-cultural adventure.

Objectives
Facilitate a cross-cultural exchange of ideas and foster international relationships through our young women leadership, coaching and mentoring program.
Break down the barriers that separate different cultures by providing programs and training focused on how the global community is connected and how we can learn from each other to solve challenges that affect us all as well as, cultivate ethical
responsibility
Develop state-of-the-art youth leadership and mentorship programs for demonstrating good community leadership abilities and to inspire them to become the next generation of innovative leaders.
Conduct international seminars, conferences and virtual learning opportunities.
Partner with other youth organization and educator.
Provide high-potential youth with tools and resources that will build leadership skills.
Ensure each student becomes an informed citizen and effective leader to be able to respond to issues and conditions that threaten our world.
Emphasize each individual’s ability and enhance their responsibility to create change in society.
Assist the various regions in achieving its vision by providing funding and logistical support for research, education and training that promote conservation and sustainable development.
Provide them with long-term support.

Strength
In the years to come, effective leadership will play an important role as the world struggles to overcome the adverse effects of war, bad government, economic greed and vegetative pressures on our ecology. Unfortunately, the majority of our country’s citizens, and particularly students who attend under-resourced schools, do not receive the training and preparation needed to respond to complex social, political, economic and environmental needs.

Students experience and learn about the work of international businesses such as Coca Cola, America Airlines and AT&T. Upon their return, students incorporate what they have learned abroad by preparing school news articles, making presentations to youth organizations, to schools and other public forums. They use these opportunities to break down barriers of mistrust and prejudice that separate people.

Students learn first-hand how different communities respond to social, political, economic and environmental issues in order to become informed global citizens who are capable of bringing a global perspective to local challenges.

This aspect of the conference comprises a long-term effect that directly links to the sustainability of the project. Besides, the participants meet and communicate with high-ranking governmental officials, diplomats and business people, who furnish them with useful tips and advice, as well as share their professional experiences.

Goals
Our goals are to have participants complete the program and then apply that knowledge in real life settings or situations in order to progressively advance as the future leaders of the world.
Benefits participants Other areas of focus:
