Women's History | Special features on Congresswoman Barbara Jordan & Apostle Betty Peebles, MegaChurch Pastor (302 hits)
This week, we are featuring blogs at http://www.womenatliberty.com on the late Congresswoman Barbara Jordan's (D-TX) historic Keynote Address at the 1976 Democratic National Convention. She was the first woman and African American to deliver a keynote address at the Democratic National Convention. We are also remembering the late Apostle Betty P. Peebles of Maryland who passed away last October (2010). Apostle Peebles was the only woman to lead one of the United States's' largest 100 churches' in recent years.
