Where Are You
Where are you
Where are you?
I want to hear your voice but dont want to seem demanding.
I want to feel your touch, to feel your warmth, your comfort
To know that level of understanding
That we share
To look into your eyes and see that is ok
To relax
To laugh and smile
To know that you are not going to go away
To embrace these feelings which I have inside
Whether good bad or indifferent
I just want to be with some one
Not just anyone
Not ready to just give the goods away
But to someone who will honor treasure and care
About what I have to say
I leave the light on for you
Letting you know that some is home
I leave a candle burning in the window
So an any time you know you are never alone
I try not to push and prod
I try and always be supportive listening to what you have to say
My question is where are you at the end of the day
Does your head hit the pillow with out thinking of me
Do you begin your daily routine enveloped by singleness
As I float alone in this sea
When you see kind words I may have sent
Well wishes for your day
Does it make you say
Well I will call her later
Or oh nice she was thinking of me
Where do I rank
Could you be my he
Not looking for a ring
Not trying to hear bells or preachers
Just looking for a hand to hold
A warm body to hug
Some one I can reach out to
I would not dare call you
Text message you or even ramble on any more
For if you really wanted my company
You know where I am.
