That is timely information, with so many infectious, airborne agents out there. The same for the many viruses which mutate (many believe from use of the many anti-biotics and other curative agens. Mark my word, we have not heard the last from Ecoli, MRSA-other flesh-consuming horrors-the Swine flu and the like. These are almost a given due to world population explosion (almost 7 billion now), world food shortages for the world's poorest countries who no longer can provide the shortfall in these ailing and famished economies. The richer nations, even the United States is hard-pressed to keep food pipe lines filled to the optimum. And this is not to mention increasing scarcities of decent supplies of suitable water fit for human (even animal-some places-intake.
The CDC.gov web site has a site which I monitor from time to time to keep up with what else is out there, threatening life on our planet. All of us have a part to play in safeguarding our environment and its dwindling, precious resources. I have never witnessed in my lifetime so many potential agents and other threats governments are not gaining the upper hand on. Not a doomsayer. But I urge all to keep an ear to the ground on all these life-menacing factors!
I have said it before, Man is the biggest threat to perpetuating human life on our planet. Just note some of the government's areas of research and I invite all opposing, as well as, concurring replies.
