This Week... (491 hits)

For the Body of Christ, this has not been a good week. The death of Bishop Moales, a true general in the Lord's army and of course the explosive allegations brought against Bishop Eddie Long.

Both of their ministries have been a true blessing to me. The "War Cry" helps me when I am down. Bishop Longs teachings and preaching has brought me a long way. I am a better person and my walk with the Lord has been sweeter because of the knowledge both of these individuals had. Heaven rejoiced to see one of their own come home!

I believe in our justice system. Bishop Long is innocent until proven guility. No...I am not blindly supporting Bishop. The pictures are troubling to me. Not that it shows him doing something, but because he had to take them and send them to somebody. In both photos, it looks like he is looking at someone. I don't know who that would be. It is possible that someone may have hacked into his phone. I fully disclose I am not smart enough to know how to do that. Or someone got ahold of his phone and sent those pictures. I don't know.

The court filings are troubling to read as well. You have to have an extraordinary imagination to make THAT up. If that proves to be the case, these young men have some anger issues that need to be healed.

We ALL know what to do when he is proven innocent. But if he is guility of these allegations, there is a long road of restoration ahead for Bishop, his family, the family of the young men and a church body that loves him so. I will not join in with the crowd who would shout "Crucify him, Crucify him." We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God. When I sin it is measured THE SAME as this would be in the eyes of God. That is why we need THE BLOOD.

The bible says:

"Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ." - Galatians 6:1-2

I am sure that God has in place the ones who would do this for Bishop Long IF he is proven guilty.

I feel his team of lawyers and PR people have done him a HUGE disservice .Though they have spoken for Bishop all week, we truly needed to see and hear from Bishop ourselves. They should have not let it go 5 days with the only one supporting him vocally on the national front is a former pastor who was caught with a male prostitute.

We, who love the Lord need to decree and declare that the truth come forward. No matter what that is.

Has anyone ever told you that you resemble first lady Bridgett Hilliard of New Light Christian Church in Texas?

To speak to your blog, although I know that we all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, I have a special bone to pick w/ the Bishop and that is being a hypocrite is these allegations are found to be true in a court of law. It's funny how we Christians are quick to quote that scripture when we get judged. I also think that we wouldn't even be judged, if we judge ourselves like the bible tells us to do.

People forget that the major problem Jesus had with the Pharisees and Sadducees was hypocrisy... they would pray these elegant prayers to be seen and heard by men, but behind closed doors they lived lives opposite of what they showed to the public.

I don't have a problem with God using the Bishop or any other man or woman of God, but don't preach against something that you know you are personally guilty of. Preach the Word and let the Holy Spirit do His job of convicting man of the Truth and of Sin.

P.S. I have been praying for the Bishop (that if he’s guilty to come out and acknowledge his guilt rather than hide behind the law), his family, and the parishners of New Birth Church.

With my hair cut like this, I do resemble her! Thanks for the response. If he is guilty, he has ALOT of apologizing to do.

You are right in the fact that Jesus just could not stomach the hyprocisy.
Have a great day!
