MAN AND WOMAN...CAN'T WE JUST BE FRIENDS..THE SUPREME COURT NOMINATION (248 hits)
First and foremost; I did want a Black Woman on the Supreme Court Bench! We are still put in a boat by class, race, and gender. White females have sent a precendence for woman...in which today the hearing confirmations begin.
Dred Scott was a Moor, the same Moors that lent the Government 1 Million in Gold to support the Civil War...support is one thing....Freedom is Another.
Free in a free terrority...no way....if Blacks were on the bench...many things would be different!
ESPECIALLY...A BLACK WOMAN...WE WILL SEE THIS VISION INTO OUR DESTINY...THERE IS NOW WAY OF OMITTING THIS...THIS IS INEVITABLE.
While I applaud you on your shout outs for the Sistah-hood, I would like to point out that the Black women that I've had an opportunity to see in some type of powerful jobs were nurse managers all except one (Carolyn Swinton) tried to distance themselves from being seen as showing favoritism to other Black staff.
I don't know about you, but I think that we are far from even doing anything meaningful to help one another if we get in power. President Obama has been maligned from even speaking about issues that have to do with minorities especially Black Americans.
Although, I don't approve of Kagan or think she's experienced enough to be on the high court, she has done more to help her own (gays/lesbians). Would Black women be willing to do anything that would help other sistahs? I could be wrong, but I doubt it.
Don't get me wrong, I would like to see a Black Woman justice in my life time, but my question is Why didn't President Obama nominate one? That's the bigger question.

We have a black man on the supreme court. Clearance Thomas do you know what or if he contribute to any meaningful issues pertaining to blacks? i doubt it, also they took a lot of black radio stations off in many cities in the US,do you know those who hacked those stations were not white they were black men and women, so do we really have each other best interest at heart?
