Esther 5:6 - What is your petition? It shall be granted to you. What is your request . . . It shall be done for you.
Imagine if you were fortunate enough to be able to meet with the President of your country because you wanted to ask him to do something special for you? The way things are set up today it's pretty difficult to even get half way up the hierarchy, let alone be able to meet with him personally! In biblical times meeting with the king was one of the biggest honors if you could get there.
However, it could also be very dangerous, because if he didn't like you or what you wanted of him he could simply have you killed. You put your life on the line if you had the guts to do this. Today, of course, it is a different matter. I'm sure if you were to meet the President, he would receive you if you'd made an official appointment.
I love the book of Esther because it is a beautiful picture of how you can approach the Lord and what He will do for you. I'd like to share what the Lord showed me about this passage because it really lifted me up and inspired me. It is, I believe, a picture of our prayer life and relationship with the Lord. I will relate each illustration briefly, then share what the Lord showed me about it. I trust it will lift you up as it did to me...
Esther was found to be more favorable than all the other women who went into the king's presence. As a result, he elevated her to the position of queen. This is a picture of what has taken place with you right now. You, as a Christian, have been placed in a position as co-ruler with Jesus. You have a position of authority in His kingdom. You are royalty in the spiritual realm.
The king held a banquet and Queen Esther went and stood in a prominent place so that the king could see her. In those days you were not allowed to go into the king uninvited even if you were the queen. But she found favor in his eyes and he held out his sceptre to her, which meant that she was accepted by him. The Lord allows you to come into His presence with boldness and without hesitation because of the fact that you trust in Him, and also because He has given you royalty status.
He holds out His sceptre to you so that you can come into His presence. You are favorable in His eyes and acceptable to Him, and He will never reject you when you want to ask something of Him...
The Lord is faithful and will always fulfill your heart's desires. You just need to come to Him in boldness and faith and trust Him as the spiritual king to bring those things to pass. Remember, you are the queen, His co-ruler, and you have favor in His sight. You can come into His Throne Room without fear or trepidation, for He will always receive you and He loves to do what you ask of Him. Go there boldly now. He's waiting for you! http://www.prophetic-training-school.com/p...
