UCLA DISCRIMINATION RALLY (158 hits)

This is my response to the UCLA Discrimination Rally Posted....

As they say, "The Revolution Will Not Be Televisied!" Gil Scott Heron
Well the more we learn, the more we must protest to earn.
Earn our Rightful Place in The American Dream.
Without the Voice of the People's First Amendment Rights to Assembly Peacefullly, and Civil Disobedience, see Dr. Martin Luther King, Manhatma Ghandha, whose literatures and philosophies enspired Dr. Martin Lurther King.

If we all want our Dreams, and I do in the Echelons of the HIgher Realms of Secondary Education, we must get what we need.
As, I have went to many college of my children, I first observe the photos, on the walls, the type of progrmas for Blacks, Women, and Multiculure people. Believe in doing what is right. Sometimes we must lay down our pens, paper, and March, or laydown for the Cause.
While, I went to visit my son at Penn State Univeristy, I visited the Paul Robinson HUB, in which large (12' x 12) photos of Administrative Marche on the campus happened in the 1960's for racial prejudices, entering books of Africa, and Black America into the system at Penn State, and how busing of Blacks to the university, set a precedence for the now movers, and shakers to get there at Penn State, like my son.
If you enter the bottom floor of Black/African Programs, go way into the back and you will see Rossie Grier on the poster, remember, he was defending as a body guard for Robert Kennedy at the Hilton in Washington,DC when he got shot.
Rossie Grier, out hats go off to you as well, because many folks let out of the Freedom Movements are not thought about again.
And keep on knitting Rossie Grier, this man is all man with his needles and yarn, and all. I read about his knittng in my knitting books, anyway, Money, is always an issue with people of color, and cutting funds, demenishes the population of Blacks in Higher Learning, all across the board.
How will we know if we do not hear, and how will we know if we do not see, and how will we care, if we ignore the situation, until the shoe comes on our feet.
Every since the Case of Michigan vs. Barbara ect, Blacks and all other people of Color are dropping in the enrollment of colleges, and retention rates, due to the word MONEY! We need out future leaders in government jobs, polliticalrealms, and still running big Fortune 500 companies.
Without a College Degree, how will they accomplish their goals.
MARCH ON MY FRIENDS, BECAUSE WE WILL WIN IN THE END.
GOD BLESS OUR FUTURE CHILDREN, AND OUR UNIVERISITIES TO BE EQUAL/EQUALTITY
PEACE....DEBRA
