Strive to enter by the narrow door, for many, I tell you, will not be able., Luke 13:24...like that old childhood fable, "Jack Sprat could eat no fat, his wife could eat no lean". In layman terms this simply means...Jack didn't fall for the devil's schemes. He shed the dead weight that keeps a man or woman from fulfilling their dreams. But his wife was weighed down, by an unclean...emotional regime. Fattened up with resentment, anger, bitterness...and tons of unforgiveness...to name a few. God knows exactly what's weighing down on you.
He observes the presences of hate handles that you have spiritually accrued...diminishing your chances of squeezing through. The narrow entrance into...the Kingdom of God. Like Mrs. Sprat...you can keep gobbling up all the negative crap...continue to grow bigger or remain fat. But why not lean on God and become the exact...image of Him...who built the door to get in? For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul?, Matthew 16:26
