Psalm 103 (King James Version)
Psalm 103
1Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. 2Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: 3Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; 4Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; 5Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
Who God is for me:
Jehovah-Jireh: My Provider
Jehovah-Nissi: My Banner of Love and Protection
Jehovah-Shalom: My Peace
Jehovah Rapha or in the Greek Iatros -- The Great Physician, My God, My Healer Over the past few weeks since I first learned I had to have surgery on my left eye I've learned that God really does Love me unconditionally. He is faithful and truly His mercies are new every day. His compassion is everlasting.
Also it’s okay to be afraid,
God does not want or expect us to be robots or like Mr. Spock or Data on StarTrek, devoid of emotions
God created us with emotions to express the wide range of the human experience Did not Jesus say on the Cross, My God, My God why have you forsaken me
Don’t we all feel that way at times?
At some crucial point in our lives, during the crisis we all fear the unknown
It’s okay to ask for help
We are all interdependent on each other
To not be ashamed of being in need
To cry out to the Lord when you don’t see any way out
He truly is a way maker
He opens doors
He sends us unexpected Blessings and assistance not necessarily through or from people we know well or expect to help us but sometimes through folks we barely know or from strangers.
Yesterday, I learned again that once again God hears my prayers, he answered a heartfelt cry. When I had no one to turn to He provided a way for me. During this time of trial and testing in my life I’m learning what it really means to trust God.
Yesterday tears of heartache, sorrow, sadness, fear Then salvation, healing and deliverance came Today tears of Joy and Thanksgiving
Nothing can separate us from the Love of God. Romans 8:38-39 (New International Version) 38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Since I have time off coming to me because of the surgery I will be in church this Sunday to give Him the Praise and to Bible Study the following Thursday to give my testimony.
My prayer for today that God will allow me the maximum time away from my job to heal, time to go to church to celebrate and join with fellow Believers and to continue to “PAY IT FORWARD” making myself an avenue, a place of BLESSING TO OTHERS, no matter their race, ethnic group or belief system!! AMEN!!
