God willing, the Brother Marcus Show will return this weekend on Sunday January 10, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. (EST) with another deep show! Despite the raw attitudes espoused in this so called culture today, many people are saying in 2010 what they really want is an intimate love relationship. But all we have to do is turn on our local radio stations and we will hear explicit songs and lyrics about s*x and how today's men and women supposedly want it. R & B Superstar, Usher, recently sang that he wanted to make love in the club. Another Superstar sings that after getting with him in a bedroom some poor deluded woman will think that he has invented s*x. And of course the number one soul singer, Beyonce, entices all the men on her latest video singing about a video phone I think. I really didn’t catch the words! Most of the s*xually charged music today seems to suggest that the people like their relationships like they like their fast food, “Fast and hot with no strings attached.”
This week the Brother Marcus Show will explore just what in the world is intimacy? Is there really such a thing as romance and intimacy in 2010 or are those just things of the past?
