Writing the Great American Novel!! My Personal Journey in Writing!! (168 hits)
I am in the process of writing a book. It is a compliation of poems, essays and reflections with the theme of domestic violence. It also explores the search for love and intimacy. One could say it is a personal exploration of why I attract the wrong men. How did I get into past abusive relationships. Currently my boyfriend is Jesus Christ so no more problems. However in the future it would be good to find a life companion, i.e., soul mate to spend the rest of my earthly days.
I just started pulling together my creative writing that I have done over the years and am working on editing it. One of my supervisors' wife is a writer so in October I will have her take a look at it. Who knows what direction it will take. If I could return to school for my Masters degree it might have become a thesis, dissertation, essay or a research paper. At this point I have neither the time nor money to pursue an advanced degree so right now it is going to be a book.
Maybe once my personal, financial and family problems get resolved I can move forward and get my Masters degree. I would like to get an MA in History or Anthropolgy. I'm probably one of the few people you'll meet who actual enjoy writing 25+ page research papers.
