How God Answers Prayer: See my Praise Report (143 hits)
God answers Prayer through His Word, the Holy Bible, people be they Christians or unbelievers, dreams, your body, even through a pet cat or dog! The Lord has many ways to respond to us, however sometimes He says wait or like our parents God says No because to grant your request would not benefit or even hurt you. God knows what is best for your life. God wants you to first serve Him and of course to fullfill and satisfy the desires of your heart. The Lord does care about your hopes, dreams, and goals in your life. Trust Him and Believe. Now the challenge for me is to take my own advice!
Psalm 103 A Psalm of David. 1 Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! 2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: 3 Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, 4 Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, 5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Praise Report -- Testimony to God's Goodness
God has once again answered my prayers and my work schedule has been changed. I put in my request to go from a 4 day schedule to a 5 day schedule on May 1st and I was approved by the manager yesterday May 6th. During the time I was on vacation I attended a Bible Study/Prayer Meeting at my girlfriend's home in Long Island. Her subject was Overcoming Fear. One of my fears was not having enough money to live. I thought the answer was to keep the four day work schedule which included 12 hours on Fri/Sat. That schedule was killing my body and making me sick. God had spoken to me through friends that I needed to change my schedule and trust him. God was also speaking to me through my physical body. I was tired and in pain. Finally I had enough and after my vacation I decided to step out on faith and move forward. Tomorrow and Saturday are the last time I will be standing for 12 hours. From now on starting Sunday, May 10th I will have a normal 8 hour schedule with overtime available on Saturday evenings and Tuesday thru Thursday in the evenings, when I so choose. This will be better for me because then I can control what evening event I want to work and still make extra money when needed. Also I can participate more with the Bible Study/Prayer Meeting group, learn more about the Bible and fellowship with friends. This is exciting. As you all know I am far from being a good Christian but I am trying and slowly the Lord is helping me progress as I put all my faith in him. My New Days off will be Friday/Mondays. This new schedule relaxes my mind and body and allows me to pursue my calling and passion for reading, writing and research. Within four (4) years I will earn my Masters degree, become an academic scholar and teach in a college/university setting. That is my confession.
I look forward to the future.
Jeremiah 29:11 (New King James Version) 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Yours in Faith,

Sister DeBorah, I am so very happy for you for steppin' out on faith and seeing the results. Praises to the Most High God!! P.S. I love the picture...it's really beautiful!

Thanks. I am excitied about this faith walk. I'm the type of person who is usually self-motivated but sometimes I need a push to go forward. That photo was my May 2002 Graduation photo from Marymount Manhattan College. At age 42 I earned my BA in English. Next year 2010 I plan to earn my Masters degree in History! For me personally the pieces of my life gradually began to fall in place after 40. However I still made dumb stupid mistakes but I have learned and applied lessons learned and now that I am 50 I expect things to get better, not necessarily easier but better slowly but surely!!
