I am a lover of the Word of God!!! I appreciate how we can get fresh water from passages we have read 100 times before. That happened this week when I went back to Judges and studied Gideon.
Gideon for me was the "I need a sign" man. Like most of us who comtemplate the next move, there are times we ask God for a sign. He asked that the fleece be wet and the ground be dry. God did it. Then he asked for the ground to be wet and the fleece dry. God did it. Gideon decided to go forward.
After God pared down his army from 32,000 to 300, God gave the command, "Arise, get thee down unto the host, for I have delivered it in to your hands." It was what God said next, that blew me away.
10 But if you are afraid to go down, go down to the camp with Purah your servant, 11 and you shall hear what they say; and afterward your hands shall be strengthened to go down against the camp.”....
The Lord knew that Gideon still needed one more confirmation. He acknowledged it and told him go listen to what they are saying about you...It will strengthen you. Once Gideon heard that the enemy knew they were about to fall into his hands, HE WORSHIPPED!!! He got up and went back and executed the plan. He won.
Have you been given an assignment? Asked God for a sign? He gave it to you, but you still find yourself moving slow? He is faithful to give us ONE MORE confirmation. Your reading this may be just that!
Being lead by Him, let me say: It is so, He did say it, YOU HAVE THE VICTORY!!!
I receive this blog as a "sign". Thanks for the post.

That's why I love God soooo much. He truly cares for us and will meet us at our point of need. It's a shame more pastors don't preach this. Sometimes they preach more about what the properity you can get from God but not how God sooooooo loves us that He never overlooks what some may view as faults.

That is what really stood out for me in this passage. That even though He had already given two clear signs, he willingly gave a third. For God soooo loved the world!!!!
