WHY DO WE SPEND SO MUCH OF OUR TIME GETTING TO KNOW OTHER PEOPLE WHEN HALF OF US DON'T KNOW WHO WE ARE. LATELY I'VE BEEN SPENDING LESS TIME ON THE HELL A PHONE AND IDIOT BOX, AND MORE TIME GETTING IN TOUCH WITH WHO I AM A S A WOMEN OF GOD, MOTHER AND MINITSER OF THE GOSPEL AND A FRIEND. WHAT I DISCOVERED IS DOWN RIGHT DISSAPOINTING, I ENJOYED GOSSIPING AND BACKSTABBING A LOT. MOST OF MY CONVERSATIONS WERE NEGATIVE EVEN WHEN I TALKED TO MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY. I KNEW THEN THAT IT WAS TIME FOR ME TO DO SOME SPIRITUAL HOUSE CLEANING AND SOUL SERACHING. SPENDING TIME ALONE WITH GOD AND MYSELF IS SO REFRESHING, IN THE MORNING WHEN I RISE I TALK TO GOD AND IN THE EVENING TOO. I READ HIS WORD AND GET TO KNOW MORE ABOUT WHO HE IS AND LEARN WHO I 'AM IN CHRIST JESUS. LADIES SET ASIDE SOME QUITE TIME FOR YOURSELVES AND YOU'LL SEE WHAT I MEAN. KEEP A JOURNAL ,AND WRITE DOWN THE THINGS YOU DO WITH THE TIME GOD HAS GIVEN YOU. SEE IF YOUR WASTING TIME OR INVESTING IT. WE MAKE ALL KINDS OF INVESTMENTS IN LIFE, HAVE YOU CONSIDERED MAKING AN INVESTMENT IN YOU. FOOD FOR THOUGHT. PEACE BE WITH YOU.!!!!
Interesting. I have always kept a journal. I got married about 5 years ago and stopped some of the things that made me who I was. Then I became who I am now. However it was not who I wanted to be. In the last few months I have come alive and started to be me! I have been spending time doing things important. I responded to this blog, because you are the only other individual who refers to it as the "Idiot Box" I laughed when I saw that. I said, someone else knows it also. I wanted to say, I read this and thought there is something here for me to take from it! I know what it is when will I start to do it! I have been lead so many times to it, but I have been doing nothing when I get there. I love food for thought, hopefully I will start to feed myself real food!

Excellent post.......... You are absolutely right. If we took at least half of the time and effort we put into getting to know others and know and love "self", we would find at the end of the day that when all is great with "self" greatness comes. I've always enjoyed the time I put into knowing and loving "Shay" and this is a great blessing for me because I'm not only able to love others, but I can also build great friendships and relationships because "Shay" is content w/ "Shay".
