I wrote a previous blog titled “Big Girls!” that suggested some things that may have been offensive. I really don’t mean to be offensive about saying love yourself enough to live a healthy lifestyle if you are big. Let me clarify my position:
I am saying that when we are obese, with a BMI over 35, we cheat ourselves from the quality of life that we could have if we were within a healthy BMI range. Destiny Institute’s mission is to equip others with tools necessary to walk into the destiny God desires for them and part of that includes physical prosperity. My personal belief is that God intends for us to live in spiritual, mental &emotional, and physical health.
Now, there are those who are “thick” and perfectly healthy and love their size. If that is you, and you believe that you are living a physically prosperous life, then praise God and pass the torch! But if that is not you, and somewhere deep inside you want more and you know that God has more in store for you, then I say don’t stop until you get to that place of a healthy lifestyle.
Change is SO hard (don’t I know!). I was that person who said “it is not possible for me, maybe it is meant for me to be overweight all of my life” and I deceived myself with such thinking. I am not fully where I want to be on this road toward fitness, but I am a Looong way from where I was (mentally, emotionally and physically).
Since I have been through, and I still have my own struggle at times, I have a passion to help others who are stuck in the obese range and deep inside want to change that soo bad!
It IS possible for you. You need a lot of support, and it is easier when you understand that food many times is more of an emotional and mental game that you can win once you become clear that you are bigger than the problem.
Tiffany, I couldn't agree with you more. Keep spreading the messages that we needs to hear. Miracles and Blessings.

Tiffany, I really applaud you on your mission to empower others, because there are so many out there who are being battered by the constant images in the media of what one should look like. I really appreciate you sister. Your heart is in the right place. Much love to you. (((smiles)))
