Lord Show Me.... Me! (136 hits)

Lord Show Me…… Me!
As I look back over this day, I woke up and gave thanks to the almighty Father, the Son and yes the Holy Spirit. I asked the Triune God to forgive all my sins and short comings, I asked Him to lead and guide me and to protect my family, loved ones and yes even my enemies. Yet in all that I asked God for and petition Him for I never once asked God to show me….. Me!

Never once Lord reveal to me how others, view me, yeah like many of you, I think I’m nice, polite, sensitive compassionate toward others, and the list goes on and on; but again that is how I see myself. Could it be that others see me as unapproachable or approachable, a pompous, educated high minded preacher? Do they see me as someone that they know can get a prayer through, or someone that they can confide in?

The Bible tells us in all thy getting get and understanding. Proverbs 4:7.

I Believe this include understanding one’s own self, purpose and destiny. In order to help and minister to the people of God we must began to see how they see us, and be able to correct the blurred vision. Understanding,
WE ARE NOT HERE FOR OURSELVES!

A moment of reflection; “John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you”.

In order to serve God’s people we must constantly examine ourselves, and seek the Holy Spirit to reveal those areas of our life that don’t line up with the will of God. This requires us to be mature and coachable, this mean being able to accept rebuke, and criticism from other regardless if they are right or wrong in their approach. I have come to learn that when God is taking you through a season of maturing it’s not easy, because he will use any means necessary to get a return on His investment, which happens to be you and me.
You can see the process of God maturing and seeking an return on His investment throughout the bible, look at Moses, when he smacked the rock instead of speaking to it as God had commanded, Jonah, when he refused to go Nineveh, not because he was afraid as many has surmised, for Jonah knew God and knew without a shadow of a doubt God would keep His Word regarding His people, Mary, Martha, and the disciples each went through cycles of maturing. Remember God tell us he Chastises those He loves.
If we are ever truly going to serve God and His people then we must be willing to go through the maturing process at whatever cost it takes. People must see the spirit of the living God upon us.
So I admonish you to ask God to reveal yourself to you, you just may be surprised at what shows up.

Always good to know that the word of God is blessing someone, many will seek God for answers but over look the blessing right in front of them. Be blessed woman of God and continue to fight the good fight of faith.
