We want to Publish Your Story (337 hits)

Tell Us Your Story

We all go through challenges. There are so many people going though trying times right now, and your story may help them through their pain. Inside of each of us is a book, a special story that can help others.

We want to share your story on our website, and/or in our new, upcoming book
"Sporting the Right Attitude: Inspirational Stories."

If you don't choose to share with us, share your story with someone else to help them. Giving advice is not nearly as effective as telling your story.

For those of you thinking about having your story published, please read on.

You may have passed through a difficult period and wondered what was the point. Here is your opportunity to know what you have gone through was not in vain. Send us your story of how your ATTITUDE helped you through that period.

Last week we wrote you about how Randy's attitude helped him survive his heart attacks. (If you haven't read it, click on the archive link to the left. "The Right Attitude Overcoming Challenges")

WHY SHOULD I SHARE?

Others want to know how others survived a difficult period to give them strength.
Some people are embarrassed to talk to others, but they want to read how others overcame their problems. Others simply have no one to talk to.
Stories through the centuries, in all countries, have been healers for others. Seeing a good movie is healing, reading a good book is also healing. They are both about stories.
This is your way to help others.
Writing about your challenge is healing for you too. It's closure.

Encourage the young person in your life to share. It may help them become published. Great for job resumes and college applications.

REASONS NOT TO SHARE

I don't want people to know my business.
If you don't want us to use your name, we can use your initials or first name like this:
C.S., Los Angeles, California, teacher
Ralph K., Columbus, Ohio, insurance salesman

My story is only interesting to me.
Not true. You never know what inspires others big or small.

I'm not a good writer.
We'll edit the story. Just send it to us.

My story is not a big deal like others have gone through.
Sometimes the smallest challenges are our biggest frustrations and hard to overcome. No one's story is more important than yours. Just share.

If you don't choose to share, pass on this link to others in your address book who may want to.

FOLLOW THIS FORMAT:

Write one to two pages by including the answers to these questions:

What was your challenge?
What attitude did you have toward the situation?

What did you tell yourself?

Did you change your attitude from negative to positive?

How did you do that?
Why you believe your attitude helped you overcome the challenge?

*Send your document in your email (no attachments please, they will not be opened) You can copy and paste from Word into your email.

Send to: info@sportingtherightattitude.com
Place in subject line: My story

Categories of stories: Adults, Teens (13-17) Young adults
(If you are a teen or young adult specify in your email)

Here are some topics where you may have been challenged:

Obviously, we will not be able to use all of the stories., and there is no guarantee that we will publish yours, but we'll try.

Remember, someone wants to read your story. No matter how big of a challenge we face, or what steep hill we have to climb, it's the right attitude that always helps us succeed.
