" A God Box is simply a box used to deposit written problems or situations that a person has decided to let go of...(a) technique to turn over (one's) goals,dreams, visions,troubles fears and worries."

When I read this in the book " IT'S REALLY HARD TO LOVE YOU WHEN YOU SPIT ON MY FLOOR" written by a teacher/author,who writes about what teaching really means, I had to smile that knowing smile.

This high school teacher, John M. Bjorge, wrote the book about his experience as a teacher in the tough environment surrounding South Central L.A. He shares with the reader how having a Spirit guided heart and mind Can overcome the challenges teachers face in inner city high schools. There is no conflict with secular issues.

Every teacher always has that one student that pushes your buttons. In the inner city it can be 90% of your class! Once you commit to the teaching profession, there are really no education courses other than the standard pedagoguery to help the teacher adjust to the cultural environment. Mr. Bjorge who is a former Navy officer describes how "salty" the language in these schools can become,sometimes challenging the myth of "talking like a sailor."

The book subtexted as " A Guide to teaching with the Spirit" is a workbook. He combines strategies with real life incidents to give the teacher a verbal judo. How to come back with positive actions and remarks that encourage and cull the best out of the student. It is filled with plenty of exercises to help a teacher rise to the honor of the profession.

Like everything else that is God driven it can be applied anywhere. I really like the concept of the God Box. He says " everytime and item he has placed in the God Box reappears he reminds himself that the situation is in God's hand and it is no longer his responsibility. I love it.

Since I am an action person, moving forward each day in awareness, I looked over at my desk at a lovely box made like a Bible, but hollow inside. It is covered with beautiful purple orchids, and even a pen holder! and of course the spirit guide had said buy it when I saw it last week though I hadn't figured out what I would use it for.
