Stop blaming the victim for making a "bad" choice when it comes to domestic violence! (746 hits)

We must be careful, loving and protective of our children, however, we must also let the victim(s) know that it is not their fault. Take the case with Jennifer Hudson's sister. Like some individuals have stated this could have happened anywhere to anyone, and it does, every day. An abuser/controller will hurt others without thinking twice. He is a manipulator, evil, selfish, self-centered control freak. If it was not the mother in this horrible incident, believe me it would have been another woman. An abuser is and abuser. The abuser will pray on people and thier weaknesses. No matter what so-called "bad" choices this mother made, she did not ask for, nor deserve what happened to her mother, brother and child. She did not put the gun in this loser's hand. When it comes to domestic violence, we as a people must say we will not tolerate it and most importantly, stop blaming the woman for making a bad choice. Making bad choices is not a license for abuse and/or murder. I mention women being the victims because the majority of cases involving abuse the woman is the victim. There are documented cases of men being abuse, however, it is a very low percentage.

Just me, plain, simple and to the point.
