Our KBR team in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a System Administrator, and your contributions will directly impact the success of our projects and the overall business outcomes we aim to achieve.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain the Gravity DevSecOps Pipeline infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud environments
Oversee configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of pipeline components to ensure high availability and optimal performance
Implement and manage containerization platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and virtualization solutions
Ensure infrastructure scalability and reliability to meet evolving project demands
Support the automation of deployment and operational tasks using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation
Collaborate with developers and DevOps engineers to ensure smooth and secure integration of new software components into the pipeline
Optimize CI/CD workflows to increase development speed, reliability, and security
Maintain the security of the Gravity pipeline infrastructure by enforcing DevSecOps best practices
Implement patches, updates, and security controls in accordance with Space Force and DoD standards
Ensure compliance with security policies, including STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides) and other government regulations
Work with security teams to conduct vulnerability assessments and audits to mitigate risks
Develop and maintain monitoring solutions to track system performance, availability, and security
Respond to system outages, performance bottlenecks, and security incidents in real time, ensuring quick resolution and minimal impact
Implement disaster recovery and backup procedures to ensure business continuity
Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure system stability and efficient workflows
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and best practices

Qualifications:
Required:
Security Clearance:Must possess an active U.S. government Secret security clearance, which only a U.S. citizen can obtain
Education: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience: 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator, DevOps engineer, or similar role supporting complex infrastructures
Proficiency in managing Linux/Unix-based and Windows-based environments
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps methodologies
Familiarity with containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and virtualization technologies
Experience with configuration management and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet)
Understanding of network management, storage solutions, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Strong knowledge of security protocols, including patch management, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and automation
Desired:
Active U.S. government TS/SCI security clearance, which only a U.S. citizen can obtain
Experience working within DoD, Space Force, or other defense-related environments
Familiarity with STIGs, RMF, or other government compliance frameworks
Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
Basic Compensation: $110,500 - $165,800 (For The Colorado Area Only)
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidates knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
