Laboratory Assistant - Clinical Laboratory

P erforms routine collection procedures, assists technologists and technicians in Blood Bank, Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, and Histology. Processes laboratory specimens. Coordinates and performs clerical/reception, client/patient/customer related duties pertaining to laboratory testing and relays information between the laboratory, other hospital areas and clients.

• This role is an onsite position and will report onsite daily as scheduled.



• This role requires for you to be located within a commutable distance of our office location listed below:



• Texas: Plainview



• Flexible and available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled, based on departmental needs and operational requirements.



• Flexible and available to work on a variable shift which may include days, evenings, or nights shifts.

• Positions specified as on call/per diem refer to employment consisting of shifts scheduled on an as needed basis to fill in for staff vacancies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• HS Diploma -OR- GED Equivalency



• Laboratory experience



• Phlebotomy experience



• Medical Terminology



• Computer experience to include Windows Excel and Word
