By correlating localized sensitivity loss with structural changes, we hope to refine detection of fast progressors and enhance patient stratification for future GA clinical trials.</p><p></p><p><b>You will be responsible for the following deliverables:</b></p><ul><li><p><b>Exploratory dataset</b> correlating perimetric sensitivity with structural imaging at the peri-lesional junction in GA patients, potentially identifying patterns associated with fast progression.</p></li><li><p><b>Prototype analysis tool(s) </b>for visualizing perimetry data or quantifying junctional changes that could be refined for future studies for patient selection or stratification.</p></li><li><p><b>Documentation package</b> detailing data processing steps, analysis tool design, and validation methodology.</p></li><li><p><b>A short report or presentation</b> summarizing findings, methodology, and implications for clinical trial design—especially regarding functional endpoints and patient stratification.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications / Requirements:</b></p><ul><li><p><b>Educational background:</b> Currently pursuing or completed a degree in neuroscience, biomedical engineering, ophthalmology, vision science, or a related field. Graduate student level education or higher preferred.</p></li><li><p><b>Technical skills:</b> Familiarity with visual function testing (e.g., microperimetry, standard automated perimetry), image analysis, and basic statistical methods; experience with data visualization or programming is a plus.</p></li><li><p><b>Research experience:</b> Prior involvement in clinical or translational research, especially in ophthalmology or neurodegeneration, is preferred.</p></li><li><p><b>Other skills:</b> Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional research environment.</p></li></ul><p></p><div><p><span><span>The expected pay range for this position is between $2</span><span>6</span><span>.</span><span>5</span><span>0 per hour and $5</span><span>9.0</span><span>0 per hour but will be based on<span> </span></span><span>candidate&#39;s</span><span><span> </span>program year, discipline,<span> </span></span><span>degree</span><span><span> </span>and/or experience.<span> </span></span><span>Co-Ops/Interns are eligible to participate in Company sponsored employee medical benefits in accordance with the terms of the plan.</span><span><span> </span>Co-Ops and Interns are eligible for the following sick time benefits: up to<span> </span></span><span>40 hours</span><span><span> </span>per calendar year; for employees who<span> </span></span><span>reside</span><span><span> </span>in the State of Washington, up to<span> </span></span><span>56 hours</span><span><span> </span>per calendar year.
