The State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) is currently seeking a qualified and experienced individual for the position of Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor.

Position Highlights:
SCHEDULE: Full-Time (40 Hour), First Shift (8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.), Monday - Friday
Please note: In-state travel may be required.

The Role:

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Provide clinical and administrative oversight to identified Young Adult Services (YAS) programs statewide;
Determine eligibility and treatment needs of referrals especially for those youth and young adults who are referred from the Department of Children and Families (DCF); Carelon and the Judicial Branch Court Support Services Division (JBCSSD);
Provide oversight of the transitions of youth to respective Young Adult Services programs;
Assist in the development of clinical interventions for high risk, high need clients including monitoring the management of risk involving these individuals;
Provide oversight and consultation on program development and service delivery;
Act as a liaison with Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) entities and other state agencies and stakeholders;
Participate in interdepartmental and/or interagency advisory committees;
Facilitate presentations and trainings on Young Adult Services;
Represent DMHAS/Young Adult Services at transition and other relevant community events;
Oversee and monitor fidelity of interventions and outcomes; and
Assist in the development of reports for the Young Adult Services Section Chief to be presented and distributed to internal and external entities.

DMHAS is a health care agency whose mission is to promote the overall health and wellness of persons with behavioral health needs through an integrated network of holistic, comprehensive, effective, and efficient services and supports that foster dignity, respect, and self-sufficiency in those we serve.

Young Adult Services was originally developed to help young adults transition successfully from the Department of Children and Families (DCF) to the adult mental health system and to achieve the necessary skills for adulthood. YAS currently serves the most vulnerable, high acuity, high need young adult population in the state who are between the ages of 18 and 25. Today, YAS has Memorandums of Agreement (MOA) with DCF, the Court Support Services Division (CSSD), and Carelon Behavioral Health, and also serves eligible individuals referred directly through the DMHAS Local Mental Health Authorities (LMHAs).
