Who We Are

With three campuses along Colorado’s Front Range, FRCC is the state’s largest community college. We enroll close to 28,000 students annually from our diverse service area, which offers a variety of cultural and recreational activities.

Each year approximately 5,000 FRCC students transfer to four-year universities and FRCC offers more than 36 career training programs that prepare students for immediate employment and rewarding careers. Last year, more than 5,000 high school students took concurrent enrollment classes with us, earning college credit without having to pay college tuition. And we were recently ranked as one of the “Top Online Colleges” in the country by Newsweek.

One of FRCC’s main goals is to offer educational excellence for everyone. The college’s strong commitment to student success means we start by creating an inclusive and equitable environment—one where both students and employees feel they belong and are supported. FRCC’s focus on diversity, equity and inclusion is woven into the fabric of our college conversations and decision-making processes. We are actively seeking to hire a workforce that reflects the diversity of our student body.

The college is also an emerging Hispanic Serving Institution. For us, becoming an HSI is an intentional commitment to being a college where our Latinx (and other historically marginalized) students thrive.

FRCC employees and leaders work hard to create a culture of collaboration, innovation and pride. We’re looking to hire people who share these values—along with our commitment to student success, equity and excellence.

Who You Are

As a full-time faculty member in the School of Social Sciences, Education and Public Service, you will provide instruction in both early childhood education (ECE) and elementary education (EDU) programs. Courses in these programs cover a variety of topics, including child development, curriculum techniques, child guidance, early childhood leadership, special education, home/school/community relations, and health/safety/nutrition for young children, multicultural education, teaching with technology and fieldwork experiences. You will utilize effective teaching strategies to develop students’ critical thinking skills, maximize student retention and success, and support a learner-centered environment. Ideal candidates have experience in curriculum development, online instruction, and exhibit excitement for developing as an educator and a leader in your field.

This position includes lead faculty duties which require significant collaboration with colleagues college-wide to develop innovative curriculum which meets the needs of our diverse population of students. Additional responsibilities include working with local community partners to secure fieldwork placements, collaborating with higher education partners at the two-year and four-year levels, maintaining knowledge of current workforce requirements from the Colorado Office of Early Childhood and Colorado Department of Education, participating in advisory board meetings, and contributing to the ECE and EDU disciplines’ strategic goals. In addition, faculty at the college are expected to meet service requirements and assume instructional leadership roles in collaboration with college-wide ECE and EDU colleagues including hiring and mentoring part-time instructors, advising students, and working with industry or community groups.

You are encouraged to provide evidence demonstrating alignment with FRCC’s vision of teaching excellence and strategic plan. You are encouraged to provide evidence that you recognize the impacts of opportunity gaps on students, along with evidence of specific efforts to achieve equity in student success outcomes.

You will serve as representative of the department by participating in committees, task forces, and events at the campus, college, and/or state levels. You may be asked to teach at different times, locations and modalities to meet the needs of the College.

This position has the opportunity to work remotely occasionally but does require an on-campus presence and will require occasional travel to all three FRCC campuses.

Please note: You need to be a Colorado resident on your first day of employment. Also, Front Range Community College is an E-Verify employer.

SALARY: $59,020 - $67,183 annually. Please see our Faculty Salary Matrix (Download PDF reader) for more specific information.
