Position summary

Deloitte Services LP includes internal support areas such as Marketing and Communications, Human Resources/Talent, Information Technology, Facilities Management, and Financial Support Services.

Work You'll Do

As part of the office Operations Team, the "One Team Ambassador" provides daily work and facility services to a varied group of professionals in a large corporate office environment. Working directly with Deloitte professionals, Ambassadors provide an array of hospitality-related and other services supporting meetings and events and the daily work environment while maintaining an understanding of Deloitte's business to optimize and customize the support they provide. This role requires a customer-centric, proactive, positive, and detail-focused individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced team-oriented support model.

Responsibilities
  • Serving as primary customer support assisting or facilitating requests which may include facility/housekeeping issues, kitchen/pantry management, A/V troubleshooting, administrative tasks, and other office services/daily in-office support needs.
  • Supporting day-of execution for meetings and events including coordination with team/vendors, last-minute logistical needs, ensuring effective set-up/execution of the event, and providing course correcting instructions/directions (e.g., to vendors), when needed
  • Maximizing work and meeting space utilization by supporting the reservation and meeting space management process working with customers and the team to effectively use office space, including addressing space conflicts and negotiating space needs.
  • Managing and fostering relationships with customers, teams, vendors, and other key stakeholders through effective communications, collaboration, and engagement with the purpose of delivering a "best in class" experience.
  • Supports office services and related tasks which primarily include processing and delivery of mail/packages; support of visitor/customer reception desks and phones; requests for printing (including production and assembly of firm client documents and other deliverables); ordering and stocking of office supplies; general cleaning (non-janitorial activities); and general support for client records management.
  • Ensures physical space is maintained and in good repair by reviewing space and submitting requests for maintenance and general repairs. This includes lighting repairs, carpet cleaning needs, janitorial needs, etc. Follows-up to ensure all requests have been completed and to satisfaction.
  • Ensures working knowledge of department service offerings, office space, key office daily meetings and events, leadership and key groups, local amenities, building, and Deloitte protocols and procedures.
  • Fosters and builds positive relationships with team and customers, displays critical thinking skills, and communicates effectively and proactively, as needed.
  • Maintains and enforces standard office security procedures and security badging accessibly including performing any related duties (as assigned)
  • Perform other tasks and special projects as required or as assigned by the management team.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Minimum of 3 years of related hospitality or office support experience in a corporate, hospitality, service-oriented, or customer-centric environment
  • High school diploma
  • Ability to work occasional overtime.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Ability to be present in office Monday - Friday during assigned business hours

An Ideal Candidate Will Possess :
  • Excellent written and verbal communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Effective problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Office applications
  • Hospitality/corporate background with a focus on meetings and events
