Production Planner III - MLI (Multilayer Insulation) Job Description
The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution from strategic capital investments, industrial operations and an efficient supply chain, to state-of-the-art manufacturing and test operations and top-notch facilities management.
What Youll Do:
Perform planning and production tasks, fulfill program needs, and expedite material requirements for production, manufacturing or assembly operations.
Plan sequential manufacturing and assembly operations.
Review engineering drawings, bills of material for production planning interpretation.
Write and maintain manufacturing routers, configuration requirements, and material traceability documentation.
Create and process purchase requisitions through approval.
May pull material from Inventory and kit/stage to meet manufacturing requirements.
Provide material and manufacturing status reports.
Carry/move/expedite/inventory hardware and documentation between work centers as required.
Work internal or external supplier material issues.
Help Identify, track, and process long lead procurement and fabrication needs.
Maintain strict adherence to business process and government compliance.
May support general administration tasks.
Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Perform other duties as necessary.
On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
High School diploma or equivalent plus 2 years or more related experience.
Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelors or Masters, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
Applying critical thinking skills leveraging toolsets to make sound scheduling decisions.
Demonstrated attention to detail when reviewing documentation, interacting with systems, and completing high-quality work products.
Maintain excellent organizational work and location identification.
Solid communications skills with ability to articulate and interact appropriately with others to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
As this position requires operating a company vehicle, an offer and subsequent employment are contingent upon possessing and maintaining a valid US driver's license and successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.

Experience scheduling in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Experience working in an ISO 9001 and AS9100 environment is preferred.
Solid computer skills specifically utilizing Microsoft Office products and experience working with a variety of databases (IFS, Velocity, Agile) is preferred.
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $56195 - $89912
