Bilingual Safety Supervisor

Job Overview:
The Safety/Training Supervisor is responsible for advancing Leslie’s safety program and addressing the ongoing training needs of distribution employees. This role involves proactively identifying opportunities, designing innovative training solutions, and implementing effective methods to educate staff, optimize processes, achieve cost savings, and improve overall value stream productivity.
Responsibilities:
Lead implementation and adherence of the Injury and Illness Prevention Plan (Occupational Safety/Health Program) for the site
Analyze accidents and incidents, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership
Identify, evaluate, and respond to hazardous conditions and emergency situations
Conduct inspections of facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to ensure compliance and prevent hazards
Partner with leadership, HR, and the Safety Committee to develop action plans that reduce workplace injuries and enhance employee engagement in safety programs
Oversee safety orientation for new hires and manage ongoing training programs for all employees
Develop and maintain effective training programs, incorporating new regulations, plant changes, and industry best practices
Collaborate with subject matter experts to design targeted training based on audit findings and operational needs
Track, evaluate, and report training metrics to measure program effectiveness
Support warehouse safety accountability initiatives and promote continuous improvement of safety culture
Drive reductions in employee incidents and accidents year over year
Meet or exceed annual warehouse safety inspection standards
Pay: $25.00/ Hourly
Qualifications:
High school diploma required; additional safety or training certifications a plus
Self-starter with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
Proficient in basic computer skills
Ability to collaborate across departments to achieve goals
Background check and drug test required
Must be bilingual
