SAFY is seeking a full-time Clinical Therapist for our Merrillville divisions. As a Clinical Therapist you will be responsible for providing moderately complex clinical services for youth in SAFY of Indiana Empowering Families Program - Services provided within the home and community utilizing evidence-based practices and family system theories to help families reach their full potential.. This Clinical Therapist role requires the employee to be able to drive for business purposes throughout the Northwest Indiana region.

What Youll Do
Provide a range of intensive clinical services to children and families including assessment, treatment planning, safety planning, crisis intervention, individual and family therapy, and discharge planning.
Administer psychometric assessments and tools as needed.
Utilize evidence-based interventions and trauma informed approaches.
Build relationships using a strengths-based approach
Assist clients with recovery from mental illness, substance abuse, sexual assault, trauma, and other conditions.
Provide clinical services for clients in a range of programs at our Indiana divisions, including Empowering Families, Treatment Foster Care, and Kinship Support
Coordinate behavioral modification interventions for children and adolescents with externalizing behavioral problems at risk of being removed from the home.
Target family dysfunction related to domestic violence, exposure to violence, abuse, neglect, substance abuse, criminal behavior, and other related issues.
Provide crisis intervention, support, and safety planning when needed
Collaborate with DCS, schools, providers, and community partners to strengthen the continuity of mental health care and services
Complete all required paperwork and case documentation in a timely manner as required by DCS and SAFY
Comply with all expectations and requirements of respective licensing board.
Attend supervision, team meetings and other required SAFY trainings
Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure safety needs of the family are addressed 24/7
Our Family Preservation Services utilize evidence-based practicesMotivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Family Systems Therapy to aid families on charting a new course to improve their family functioning, safety, and well-being. We provide families with the necessary tools to develop and maintain a strong family structure for the long-term physical and emotional health of each member

Qualifications
Masters degree in the field of social work, counseling, marriage & family counseling, psychology, sociology, child & family studies, or other approved related field of human services is required.
LSW, LCSW, LMHCA/LMHC or LMFTA/LMFT in the State of IN required
May be working towards independent licensure in the State of IN, preferred.
Must have a valid drivers license, acceptable driving record and auto insurance coverage to meet travel requirements; may require transporting youth if needed.
At least two (2) years of experience working with children or families; experience in the child welfare system; or other related experience in social services, advocacy, or mental health is preferred.
What We Offer
Targeted hiring range: $48,000.00 - $70,000.00, Compensation is commensurate with transferable experience, education and licensure of candidate, location of position, along with internal equity and budgeted amount for the role.
