WSET ABC 13 in Lynchburg, Virginia is looking for an Multi-Media Journalist. Your responsibilities as an MMJ will include reporting, shooting and editing news stories, enterprising story ideas, developing contacts, as well as other responsibilities as assigned. You will be expected to produce daily content on a variety of platforms including the internet, social networking sites and mobile phones, in addition to television.  We're looking for someone who can bring the energy and personality!

Skills and Experience:

• Sharp news judgment


• Strong writing abilities


• Excellent shooting and editing skills (Your reel must contain standups and previous news packages)


• The ability to enterprise news stories


• The ability to work well independently


• Must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record

Requirements and Qualifications:

• A minimum of 1 years reporting experience is required, either professional or college


• Experience with live shots is required


• Experience with Live-U is a plus


• Strong social media presence


• This is a job for someone who loves the news, especially breaking news


• The ability to work weekends and/or nights
