Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Benefits Contractor to assist with requests for medical records. This is a temporary, part-time position requiring approximately 5-10 hours per week for an initial duration of 6-8 weeks, with the possibility of extension. The role offers a competitive hourly rate of $20-$22/hour.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and manage requests for medical records in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Ensure adherence to HIPAA and other relevant confidentiality and privacy regulations.
Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to address medical record inquiries or discrepancies.
Maintain accurate and organized records to support audit and compliance efforts.
Handle sensitive information with the highest level of professionalism and discretion.
Qualifications:
Previous experience working with medical records or in a healthcare-related administrative role.
Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices for maintaining confidentiality.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines within a part-time schedule.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
