Just When I Thought My Life Couldn't Get Any Worse... (197 hits)

My wallet went missing a week ago. I told myself not worry b/c only my insurance cards, loose change, and pictures were in there. Then Monday of this week...someone steals my ATM/Debit Card! I was so friggin' upset when I went to the bank to try to deal with the personnel there that I'm sure I had little horns on the side of my head. What's ironic is that the bank's having an identity theft workshop this week.
Then about 10 minutes ago during my lunch break here at my job I hear that the school district is facing one of the tightest budgets it's EVER had AND that there may be personnel cutbacks. Which probably means people like me...who aren't considered "certified" personnel will probably be among those that are "cut back". I didn't take this job for the money. Heck, I didn't have to. I HAVE a college degree and could be making MORE money somewhere else! I took it b/c I wanted to make a difference in the lives of children that benefit from programs like ESL. Maybe I was just making too much of trying be thoughtful of others. Especially, since I have to commute and stay over at a friends house during the week to cut down on my gas expenses. HOWEVER, if my district cuts my job to a part-time position like they did one of my friends in a neighboring school district, then I'll have no choice BUT to quit. My student loans and other financial obligations be damned...

I just needed to vent :)
