National Voices, Local Efforts: Learning Lessons on Universal Pre-K
Libby Doggett, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Policy and Early Learning at the U.S. Department of Education will join other national experts, including Marian Wright Edelman of the Children’s Defense Fund, for a live webcast on the importance of, and issues associated with, implementing universal preschool initiatives in cities across the country.
National Voices, Local Efforts: Learning Lessons on Universal Pre-K, hosted by the William Penn Foundation in Philadelphia, will be held on Wednesday, May 25th, from 9 AM - 3 PM EST and will be live streamed for participants across the country. The remainder of the day will focus on learning from cities that have implemented universal pre-k initiatives in Cleveland, Denver, New York City, and San Francisco. Issues to be addressed will include financing services, quality measurement and improvement, and workforce development.
