E S C A P E S : Lost and Found (705 hits)

A writing of The Spirit and the Bride

Take the adventure reading from the past to the future in
The Book of Escapes...

It begins in lines that make rhyme. . .

Once Upon A Time........

On a Friday of a January morning in The Year of Our Lord 2016
The bride was at home of the Skellig with her visiting.
The busy hands working inside measured patterns and made them neat.
Making an art collage of Baby Treat.

Attaching pieces together she needed stick pins,
so looking and finding the capsule bottle she kept them in.

Using the scissors and cloth she cut with skill,
adding finishing touches as she mended on the quill.

Tucking the hem, on the platform lay her gem
which made a marvelous display.
However, time came to put things away.

Picking up scraps and tossing out the trash
She moved with a speedy dash!

When to her discovering, the pin capsule had no covering
And the top had gotten lost somehow among her items tossed.

Searched she over the tables and on the beds where materials lay.
Searched she under papers to much disarray.

The bride begin to ponder with thoughts of this and that,
"Just where could that wandering top be at?"
She spoke it aloud, as though she was facing a listening crowd.
And begin to claim a fin,
For the places to look took to her to an end.

For she would put it away without it's cap and continued to pick up
and folding the cloths of nap.

As she lay one piece over a tray, it rolled off and fell at bay.
Down the cloth went and made a spread onto the floor....
Very close to the front door.

Bending down the bride went with a scoop moving a paper bag.
Where the top appeared from it's hiding place underneath.
It was as if the top was playing a game of tag!
Came its moving from paper's bag's sheet.
Out to open there was the little cheat!
Returning home like a lost sheep.

Grasping the top and giving it a pop!
Back in place went the wayward circle....
To keep pins covered with colors of blues to purple....
To be put away safe to it's place.
The bride gave thanks out aloud with grace....

Because it was The Spirit that led to her find,
After all of her adventurous entwine.

This enchanting visit blows with the tide
How mysterious are the E S C A P E S
And the writings of the Spirit and the bride.
