The Intended Consequences of 'Pride' Month (269 hits)
Not since the Clinton era has an administration worked so intently and surreptitiously to normalize an ideology and agenda that is proven contrary to the beliefs of a majority of Americans – and which has begun to challenge the very essence of religious freedom and free speech.
During a White House reception held Monday evening to celebrate "Gay Pride" month, President Obama reiterated his administration's accomplishments and commitment to aggressively implement this powerful donor block's priorities.
"We've got a lot of hard work that we still have to do, but we can already point to extraordinary progress that we've made over the past year on behalf of Americans who are gay and lesbian, bis*xual and transgender (GLBT)," Obama said.
Also on Monday, the secretary of state and of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced policy shifts affirming homos*xuality.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, speaking to more than a thousand GLBT federal employees, said, "Human rights are gay rights and gay rights are human rights. Here at the State Department, we will continue to advance a comprehensive human rights agenda that includes the elimination of violence and discrimination based s*xual orientation and gender identity."
Clinton also took the opportunity to announce the inclusion of gender identity in the department's equal employment protocols.
In a letter to major hospitals that participate in Medicaid and Medicare, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius urged hospitals to bypass normal rulemaking procedures and "voluntarily support" Obama's executive directive to grant same-s*x visitation rights.
The proposed rules are supposed to be available for public comment for 60 days and then finalized after the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has read and considered the comments.
These trends concern CitizenLink policy analyst Caleb Price, who said people should not to take these incremental changes lightly.
"The normalization and celebration of homos*xuality and transgenderism IS a big deal," said Price. "This movement calls for the complete and utter deconstruction of human s*x, s*xuality, marriage and family."
"Most Americans are not fully on board -- or even aware -- that the president is using every tool at his disposal to work behind the scenes to implement this agenda," said Price. "Yet, Obama is bringing about further confusion to us and the next generation on the building blocks for a healthy and thriving society."
Price advised voters not to lose sight of these core social and moral issues while focusing on economic issues this November.
"To do so, would be at their peril," he said.
"God has made it clear in His Word that He will not bless a nation economically when its citizens have turned their backs on not only Him," said Price, "but also His design for creation and humans who bear His image as male and female."
