Ok, I have decided to loss weight once and for all. There had been several circumstances that has gotten me to the,"I'm tired of being tired"... You know! Well I am 35 and weigh 270 lbs during my first weigh-in on weight watchers. I have tried many options from phen-phen, smoking, colon cleansers, over the counter pills and even got to giving myself a shot 3 times daily. Can you imagine giving yourself a shot not because you have diabetes but out of despiration. Well joining weight watchers I found that there really is no special pill, just simply eating healther and exercising. What makes weight watchers different is that you build relationships with people of like minds to accomplish one goal, TO GET HEALTHY. While other programs work with prepacked foods, sooner or later if you do not have that support and you tend to vier from the coarse. So I am inviting all who wants to join me in the battle against the boldge... You do not have to join weight watchers although if you do not have an idea of how to eat healthy you should get with a dietician, or join some type of program that teaches you how to eat healthy. Other options are YMCA, e-diets, and even food books at the markets. I will be blogging daily and I encourage you to do the same. I will be posting my weight weekly along with photos to update my success. If you want you can do the same. You are not alone, and your story will help others.
I am with you my sister....I am 36 and weigh about 290. I am currently doing the "Daniel Fast" in conjunction with my church, which basically means, no carbs, dairy, or MEAT.....I am doing fine right now. Almost through my first week. We are to do it for 30 day. After the fast I will work on eating healthier all the time. so I am there with you. Let's just pray that God knows our hearts and will help us glorify him through our weight loss.

See thats what I am talking about. For God's word says when two or more are gathered together... Ladies, (together we stand, devided we fall)... With this said I have completed my goal of 150 minutes of cardio this week. I did 30 mins over a five day period, and even sampled yoga and pilates... Man, all I can say is this big girl here is not quite ready for pilates yet, but yoga, I think I may try it again next week..( I am using on demand free work outs for the yoga) however I do attend the YMCA... Today I thought I might give you what was on my menu.. Because I worked out at the YMCA this morning I only had a Whey protein mix with 3 lrg frozen strawberries and no fat lactaid milk... I went to a store opening at Food Lion Supermarket and whatn you know it, they gave out free cake, so yes you can have a little, I had a very small peice. For lunch I had a salad with spinach, shrimp, mushrooms, avacodo and onion with ranch dressing. Dinner will be 6oz of bake tilopia(fish), broccoli, medium bake potato, and I will have a smartones strawberry shortcake for dessert. Now as I stated I am on weightwatchers with a daily allowance of 33points. Today I've had 36 points, however I had an extra 46points to use throughout the week still left as of today, so I am good. My point is to show that I had a lot of food, never got hungry and its ok. I am learning not to make food such a focus point of my day. Thank you for all of your prayers. Until next time...

Today was a great day. After church we had a baby shower with all of the amazing dishes you could possibly think of. However I was able to maintain. I think by me sharing my current determination for weightloss my family supported me. This means even behind closed doors I declined the xtras. I am proud. Although I see my integrity is very important, I never should much when it came to food. Today I did.. I can not wait until tomorrow to weigh in... This was the first week that I have truely accepted and lived with my new life style change. I have cooked meals for my entire family surrounding our life style change, and they loved the new recipes and flavors... Until tomorrow... Besure to post for thoughts.. You'll never know how you can help me... Thanks..

Hey Ladies, trust you've had a bless day. Okay straigt to the point. I have lost 6.2 pounds this week. This is like a jump start for me. And yes I know that when you change your eating habbits you tend to loss more weight during the first couple of weeks then the number will average 2 lbs per week, and I'll take that too. I am just so happy to know and a little upset with myself to know that I could have saved family a lot of money if only I would have just committed myself to a better life style. Today I stepped up my work out to 40 mins of cardio. I plan to do yoga for strength training twice this week. I want to see if adding weight training adds to the weight loss. Remember you can do it. I urge you to just try it for 1 month. Eat better and exercise and if you don't like and it does not make a good change in your life, you can always go back. I have a team member at weight watchers and she lost over 7 lbs this week and all she did was walked and adapted to a better way of eating, a new life style. Try to maybe walk in front of your favorit TV show, or my favorite put on some pumping praise music and get your praise on. Just you and the father. Okay I am going to end my blog with prayer tonight. Lord God we come to you, humbled and willing. First God forgive me for all of my wrong doing, thoughts and words spoken. If I have offended any man please allow me the mercy to show them you through me. Now father please usher me to receive the strength and will that I know you have for me. I know that I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. Amen... God bless my sisters...

Okay ladies, whats going on this evening. For me, I have been down the last 48hrs with what seems to be the flu and have missed two days in a row of working out. However it is not from lack of trying, but with a temp of 101.5 I found myself walking off the exercise equipment even on level 1 speed 1.. So took a break. I did manage to weigh myself and see that I have lost another 3.6 pounds not being hydrated with this fever. So lesson learned. No working out with fever. Nevertheless I have tried to eat meals although small keeping forward is my mission. Because I have slept all day I may visit my complex gym for a 30min cardio workout.. If not I will be back at the YMCA in the morning. I see many of you are visiting. Please feel free to post your thoughts, struggles, worries, successes and encouragement for the rest of us... Until tomorrow....

Good Morning Ladies and Gents... I am awake heading to the gym. I went to my meeting yesterday, not feeling good. However I lost 2.8 lbs. As you remember I only worked out 3 times last week because I had the flu. Now this week mother nature is having my girlfriend come and visit me. So I need to get prepared. Right now I am craving chocolate, chocolate, chocolate. And you all know those Girl Scout cookies are following us every where. I discovered a chocolate mint cookie bar at weight watchers that taste so close to the thin mints. I also got a box of weight watchers cup cakes and the chocolate flavor smoothie, which I drink in the morings before I workout. This week I am going to incorporate weight trainning. I will let you guys know how that is going. Remember to keep it moving... There is a young lady in my class and she says all she does is walk and really eliminated junk food. She has lost 6 lbs for the past 2 weeks. She is such an inspiration. So get with a buddy and walk this week.

Hello Everyone... Are you still there? Well I am having a great time... During my special female week I wondered how I would do, and the verdict is, I just maintain. Inspite of the two extra work out sessions and sticking well within my points. This is good, this means that next week it will look as if I lost a lot of pounds but in reality I will lose about 3-4 lbs plus 2 lbs of water weight. So as long as I lose 4 or more I am still on track. However I had my measurements done and have lost 12 inches.. Those of you who don't know this is not just in the waist but thighs, arms and legs added together. I lost a little more than a inch off my waist. But I got through the part where you feel like this just is not working or taking too long.. Know I feel the need to work out every day. If I don't, I do not seem to sleep well. Is their anyone else that feels this way, restless if you do not work out? Until next time.....

Hello Everyone, Isn't it funny how most of us say we want to acheive in an area but when given the opportunity we do not take it for free. Why? We are groomed that if it's free it does not work, and it works better the more expensive it is. I have lost over 20% of my goal for free the last 3 months. Yes I belong to weight watchers but they don't have a pill, smoothie or surgery, strickly networking and motivating each other. They have a point system that if you eat as you are advised to by the drug and food administration (4foodgroups) you are well within your daily allowance for calories, fat, protein, and etc.... So ask yourself, why haven't I participated in this BLOG? We tend to read gossip and tabloids online why not read someones inspirring story of weightloss, love and happiness. I find that sharing my success with others gives me motivation to keep it going. To don't wait participate... Soon we can all take a girls success trip some place and hang out. I brought my first swim suite in over 3 years. By next year, although I will never wear a bikkini.. I will be able to get into one! Send me prayers, I am entering into a new chapter...RUNNING! I want to participate in marathons next year, maybe a mini-thon this summer.. We'll see. I have not weighted less than $250 lbs in over 5 yrs, and it feels great!!!!

Wow BWC... Haven't been here in over 6months... But I must say I kept with it.. Now down to a 12 to 14 jean size. I have since cut 4 to 6 inches off of my hair and have dived into the Word of God. Everyone is askcing, what are you doing to loose weight. My response is Godercise... Simple enough, I have stop stressing and worring about what I can't change. I have accepted the truth about myself and those around me to allow change to occur. You can too.. I can help you... Just ask and I will support.. Most important, I am in love with the God in me...
