Founder of Wagfest and Turning Negatives into Positives Tours Atlanta (671 hits)

Kerry E. Wagner is a native Houstonian. He is affiliated with various entertainers in the Houston area. After devoting years to Houston’s underground rap scene, this former rapper took 18 years of experience and was compelled to change the game of urban literature. Mr. Wagner strongly believes in giving back to the community and established the Turning Negatives into Positives foundation. As a self-published author, Wagner was met with opposition from traditional and commercial book chains, but he did not let that stop him from selling over 10,000 copies of his first book, “She Did That”. He is the master of turning negatives into positives. Mr. Wagner will be touring Atlanta signing copies of his highly anticipated novel, “Never Let Go of My Hand.”

In 2005 Kerry E. Wagner founded the Turning Negatives into Positives foundation (TNIP). The basic premise of the organization is based on the philosophy that reasons obstacles come into your life is to learn how to overcome by jumping over the hurdles that may come a person’s way. Wagner adamantly believes that once you’ve learned how to overcome, it is your responsibility to share those lessons with others. The services provided by TNIP include: Crisis Intervention, Conflict Resolution and Effective Communication skills for couples and separated parents. TNIP also conducts workshops through out the year to include: Writing Your Way Out- emphasis is on journaling, Navigating the Child Support Maze- emphasis is helping non-custodial parents navigate the system and maintain their rights, Felons for Change- emphasis is on devising solutions to better themselves and start a brand new life, Career workshops- designed to assist young adults and adults in preparing for employment through resume writing workshops, career development, and interview skills and techniques.

Wagfest Litertainment Networking Extravaganza began in 2007. The first event was held in New Jersey where a close knit group of authors got together in the spirit to sell books and have a good time. Since then WagFest Litertainment grew beyond just a small few and a movement that promotes self-sufficiency and resourcefulness. Although not exclusive, WagFest caters to independent and self published authors, poets, musicians, comedians, and artist. In March 2008, WagFest was held in Seattle Washington and proved to be a huge success with standing room only. A larger group of artists traveled across the country to participate. October 2008 was held in Cincinnati, Ohio and again was met with great review, readers and artists all in the same place, sharing knowledge, purchasing merchandise, and having a good time. The saying at WagFest is "come as strangers but leave as family" and that has proven true time and time again. In linking up with WagFest, you have a community that will back you and as we grow so do YOU! The next event is scheduled to take place on March 13-15, 2009 in Seattle, Washington at, the Marriott Hotel, 3201 S 176th St, Seatac, WA 98188. Since the first release of “She Did That” in 2005, Wagner’s highly anticipated novel, “Never Let Go of My Hand” has hit the market. “Never Let Go of My Hand” is a story about the first, last, and only woman a boy ever falls in love with. There is nothing like the bond between a mother and her son.

This is also my belief and I try to share as much as people will allow me to share with them. Thanks for the post.
