LADIES, WOMEN, and GIRLS,...... WE NEED TO STOP ALREADY !!!!! (472 hits)
It really saddens me the way we think at times. When I first joined this network, I said hummmm. Seems interesting, a network of women coming together networking, voicing their opinions, talking about stuff.( boy was I right about stuff ) ! Needless to say, although I find some, (really most), very interesting dialog, there are times that I find things being said here, discursive and is embarrased by some behaviors displayed. Most, of what I see that is negative is usually petty. (stuff ) Why is this so, coming from women that are supposedly educated and well-rounded ? Not to mention the masters of instigation. Why do we have this going into 2009 ? Don't we know that when we occupy our minds with this stuff, it stunts ones growth ? Keep in mind that someone coming into this NETWORK OF INTELLIGENT WOMEN, LADIES, and Girls might not stick around like I did. Doc
I agree...but I've learned that you are going to have some negativity in almost everything that you do. We are doing something positive here, something that builds up mentally, spiritually, economically - so of course the enemy will try to discourage it with (I like the way you stated it) STUFF. So, personally, I have chosen to look past the stuff so that I can focus on all the positivity found here. Most successful people have learned to look past the stuff...so I think that most of us will stick around for all the good. :^D

Thank you for posting, I think your statement "supposedly well educated and rounded "is the key. Yes people will leave, because as Jessica Angelique said in her blog, true winners don't have time to just hang around. They are either promoting a cause, like myself getting members involved in the political process by putting out there real time information and showin g that I am also involved, not just talking, or yourself trying to enlighten those who have not yet awakened the Goddess within.
There is no way I can see myself 5 years from now on this network. OMG..talk about stagnation!! This is not a myspace or facebook where you just put up a page like a scrapbook, people visit and leave comments, no this is supposed to be for professional women, and to network professionally. Thank you so much for posting.

Thanks Ladies, I just feel that when you have a forum like this there is a thing called diplomacy, tact and "My Goodness", manners. Some just don't have any of it ! We should be devoting energy elsewhere. we've come to far, not to be civilized.Heaven forbid , when you respond and voice your opinion that doesn't match someone else's. I have seen everything from mud slinging to down right rude.I'm just amazed at the actions that some will take to try and make their point known in the process. It's not that serious. I know it's wishful thinking, but I would really like for us for once to take a strong look at other cultures that don't focus as much on being envious, jealous, and vindictive as we can be with one another. We seem to have it bad, and yes it's negative, thats why I'm speaking on it, we need to stop.

For once, little black girls can realize the attainable goals of their dreams, that they too can become a part of it. All eyes of the world will be on Michelle and us, (Black Women). Sounds like a good time to discover the "Goddess in you", to me !

That's the truth Min Blaylock. SOme of us have to understand that we all come from different backgrounds, and that each and every person is going to have disputes that are not quite 'grown up' , but it's up to those who are 'grown up' to help them , and if they don't catch in, then just pray for them and move on.We have to get it together as a people and HELP, YES I SAID HELP those who are not as 'educated' as some and get them to a place where they can present themselves in a positve light.
My point exactly ! We all know, to think positive and keep steppin and ignore the stupid stuff. And... we know whatever we do there's going to be oppositions and disputes, thats not what I'm talking about here. We ALL KNOW that there's some REAL funky issues we have as SISTERS ! REAL FUNKY ! FUNKY STUFF !! The real older ones have it imbedded in them, ( A young sister don't want to hear from a lot of them AT ALL ),Hate some of us cause we're young or cute, Haters cause some have No problems getting the opposite s*x to respond, hate us for financial gains or prestige, or the degrees we've earned. Just a hot MESS !!!You ALL know we have this, seen it and experienced it ! We need to get it together and STOP !!! I'm for helping my sister, the one that don't give a darn, that looks a hot mess, that talks crazy. I'm one for pulling her aside and deliver to her in a way she can understand and not belittle her ( in the process ) because I have more. Thats why I'm speaking up telling it like it T..I....is. Somebody needs to, and guess what ?? I'm NOT SCARED or intimidated WHATSOEVER !!! I'm so ready for this new day to happen !!
