Fight the Good Fight of Faith?/The Wisdom in Wealth & Health Workshops by Esther Pinkston (506 hits)
More times than I'd like to remember, I've been accused of being too strong willed. I admit that I am a strong willed woman. How did I get that way?
I believe it is in my genes from both sides of my family. I grew up with a mother who was older in age and had raised 5 sons and a daughter and had been verbally, and physically abused.
I grew up fast as a child. I was an unexpected child. My mother thought at her age there would be no more babies. She tried to give me to one her aunts but, there were another aunt who disagreed and begged her to keep me.
Until this day she says, she is thankful.
So what is this strong willed business? As a child growing up in a Black Church I was always confused. Scripture was always used to put the woman in her place. I did not fit those molds so I often felt I was a reject to God.
I would read the Bible and feel it was against me. I would ask Why did you make me this way if it is wrong? Why do I feel the need to lead? The need to break out of the mold even if I'm wrong, or make a mistake?
Then I began to study my name sake "Esther". Women like Lydia, Hulda, Anna, Deborah, and Prisilla and so many more. But I seem to identify a lot with the Apostle Peter. I could always hold my own with my fists. I've had to learn to control one of the most hottest tempers. Even in the world before Christ, I believed in Justice. A girl should not be doubled teamed in a fight. I would always cover my girl fried to make sure it was a fair fight win, loose or draw.
In Christ I have the same spirit. It's just that my weapons are not carnal. It's not by power or by might but, by my spirit says the Lord. When we were in warfare for my Mother to live, I never try to fight alone. I will call on the army of God ASAP. Distance is not a problem. If you are a soldier in the Army of God, look for a call any time day or night. There won't be time to clean your weapon,it must be ready for use. There won't be time to get dressed, you must have your Armour on. For we know not when disaster will strike. We are to stay in the ready mode.
KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE GOAL!
I have found that no matter how bad the battle may appear to be, you must focus on the symbol of VICTORY. Victory? Yes, victory. The flag must always be seen. Hope must always be seen. Hab. 2:2 " With out a vision my people will perish". Write it on the wall, put it on the refrigerator or where ever you visit often. Fight the Good fight of Faith. Don't ever give up even though it may look like you are defeated. Keep on looking for the weak spot in the enemies camp.
Ben and I are still fighting and he is getting stronger day by day.
One way we are fighting is finding ways to help others. We are giving away free CD's that can help Churches and Organizations. We are building one of the largest, highest retention network marketing organizations using education and teamwork, soon to be in twenty-five states across the US and Canada.
All praise goes to Jesus for the team He has given us. Many of them are "Nurturers" and they understand the value of helping others.
Now we are looking for 10 Teachers who are looking for a way to educate and inform others and make a little extra income. I have 10 Free CD's left, first come first served.
