I HAVE BEEN USING MARY KAY SINCE I WAS 19 YEARS OLD I HAVE BEEN A CONSULTANT FOR YEARS. I ENJOY THE FACT OF MAKING OTHER WOMEN FEEL GOOD ABOUT THEMSELVES AND GIVING THEM A NEW LOOK. MARY KAY IS WORTH YOUR TIME IF YOU HAVE DREAMS AND GOALS IT'S ALWAYS ABOUT THE PRODUCTS ,BUT IT'S ABOUT THE LIFE STYLE WE LIVE. YOU CAN MAKE VERY GOOD MONEY BUT IT'S LIKE ANY BUSINESS YOU HAVE TO WORK AT IT, IT'S NOT GOING TO COME TO YOU.

I sold Mary Kay many years ago. I liked the product, the cleaning products but I could not wear the foundation, it broke me out. I didn't do to good in sell it because I could not personally wear it. But that was many years ago in the eighties. I sure if you can wear it yourself you can promote it for the money if you love it, the complete line. I saw many women and friends gain from the business. Continue to think about it.

Yes, I am a former Mary Kay Beauty Consultant and the hype of it all is a great feeling. When I say hype, I mean when you attend a meeting or a mary Kay event, you get chill bumps and a high axiety to go out and sell those products with a "yes I can" attitude and when you do go out there (at least when I went out there), that feeling changed.

The products are great, but I could not meet the ordering requirement ($200 a month in order to received 50% off), and my clientel was very, very low. I could not get any one to let me do a free facial. When I opened my store and became a legitimate Beauty Consultant, I put out a lot of money for my opening, sent out invites, but only 4 of my family members showed up.

Mary kay has a lot to offer, and you will have to work for it; that pink cadillac or any other cars are not that easy to earn. If you don't keep up a certain status, the cars and be taken back. If this is what you want to do, go for it. Myself, I went back to Avon, who also carries great products, but not hard to sell. Plus, we carry other products other than skin care products, and I don't have to beg anyone to shop with me. Just a show of a catalog or mentioning of the word Avon, people will respond.

Mary Kay investment is higher $110 to join, around $600 for the kit that included over $1200 worth of products. Avon investment is $10 and you can pre-order and pay later. Great rewards are given when due. I heard they used to give away cars, but I know a lot of cruises and other things are given. Any questions, you can holler back! - Denise
