Have you taken a moment in prayer, or silence to remember the victims and survivors of Sept.11 (761 hits)
Where were you on 9/11, seven years ago. Remembering.
My daughter and at the time future son-in-law (they are now married) were both in the area that day. She was a student at Columbia and sometimes caught the train that stopped at the WTC. My son-in-law caught the same train every day, his stop, the WTC. We could not reach either one of them for hours. The two of them could not reach each other at all. It was horrible. They both lived in NJ and could not return home. They were stranded in NYC. My son-in-law, covered in soot, walked across the Brooklyn bridge and ended up staying in Brooklyn with strangers, who took him in. God bless them. My daughter had a friend in the city that she was able to stay with. Both of them anxious to return home, ran into each other accidently at the train station the next morning. Isn't God good. My daughter was in tears. Of course words could not explain how happy they were to see each other and discover that both were safe. My daughter did not catch the train that day (9/11)and my son-in-law went in much earlier that morning to take a test for his job. However, he was still in the vicinity when the towers went down.
Please let us know. Where were you on that day? Do you have any stories you wish to share? In rememberance and out of respect for those who lost their lives, family members, or friends on that sad day.
