Does anyone watch The View? What the hay is Elizabeth's problem? (1089 hits)

I usually record The View, if I am not at home to watch it. I love hot topics. Since I have been watching the show, I have noticed something that really gets me worked up. That Elizabeth person. She is mean spirited and sometimes appear to be racist. She never has anyting nice/positive to say about Obama. She has the right to support McCain and the Republican Party, that is not the problem I have with her. I have been watching and listening to her for months now. When Hillary was in the race, Elizabeth hardly said anything negative about her. She has always been negative towards Senator Obama; and now she is going after Michelle Obama. She can get very loud and disrespectful when discussing Senator Obama. I have even gone as far as to email The View with my personal complaint about her. She gets into arguments with Whoopi and Joy on a regular basis. Believe me, these arguements are real. They have nothing at all to do with the ratings. Check it out for yourself.
Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this. The View comes on at 11a.m. EST M-F. Again, just curious.

I definitely agree with you. Elizabeth has a serious problem and in my opinion has never liked Senator Obama. I understand her dedication and support for the Republican Party, however, when McCain introduced Palin to the world, Elizabeth lost her mind!

I've been watching, on & off, since the beginning, and no. Liz isn't an active or even aware racist; perhaps a guilt driven, unconscious one. She is well read, well traveled and, best I can tell, highly intelligent. She is stubbornly conservative, which often translates elitist, and yes I believe the idea of Obama in the WH frightens her, but I don't think her fear is as rooted in racism as in unspoken but well known white truths.

I think we're talking about guilt here. Though they put that revisionist nonsense in the "history" books and force feed it to us on the nightly news, these folks are not remotely confused as to the deceits, devisiveness, war-mongering, mayhem and murder they have perpetrated from the Mayflower until today. BO represents a shift in power, and therefore wealth, that has great potential to bring them to their long delayed comeuoance. It's not so much the man Barack as the potential for rebalancing they hate. All over the United States, people who are starving for change can't help wondering, if I vote for this man of hope, will black then treat white like white has treated black these hundreds of years. Will I be profiled, will my kids get the short end, and what about my job? If he's in power, will he bond with all the other colored folks around the world that scare us? Are our days on the stolen pedestal numbered and what happens to us if we suddenly are forced to play fair? Just Sayin

I DVR the view daily, I love the hot topics and although Elizabeth is a bit abrupt she makes some valid points (not all the time) but when they were discussion the N-word. She said she would never use a word to describe herself negatively and wouln't want anyone else to use it against her, and Whoopi said she uses it but she doesn't know any. Well who is she talking to when she uses it? I won't say I don't like Elizabeth but I will say she has more guts than most to voice her opinions and stand by them(most times) on national TV. I believe she is afraid of change and OBAMA would be a change.
