Obama 2008! us working the town of Bristol Pennsylvania Est.1681! (187 hits)

I really like Pennsylvanians, they remind me of people from Ohio and Missouri. Something very earthy and honest about them. A big turn around from New Yorkers!! and strangely enough New Jersyans..enough said..about this state.

I went canvassing with people I had never met before. Of course we worked well together, because we had one goal,and we went there to work. One man drove 130 miles each way and the gentleman I paired with , was an elder gentlemand and had problems with his feet and curvature of the spine.

Needless to say, to see this gentleman walking, probably in some pain, and not complaining to get Barack Obama elected, certainly gave me a sense of how we really have to work together. I say we can be different and still work towards the same goals, even without that old cliche' putting differences aside for the common good.

We canvassed 500 homes, and gave out literature, spoke about Obama's platforms and the issues that concerned the voters. I am glad that I went . Posted By: Marta Fernandez
