Football Season Already???? Booooooo! (630 hits)

Oh my. Why does football season have to be so serious. When the season comes around it is like all of a sudden there is nothing more important than the Sunday and/or Monday night games. I just don't get it. Every since I was a little girl. Whenever the season comes around we transform into a different family. It is like dear old dad/hubby looses focus or something. I just don't get it. Can someone shed some light on this for me. I am not totally against sports. I enjoy going to live games. I cannot just set in front of a TV watching a game, or anything else for hours on in. My husband can be asleep. I will try to take the remote to change the channel. He will immediately wake up insisting that he was watching the game. No he was not! He was snoring! He was asleep! How does football have so much power? How can I acquire some of it??

i think football is so serious because it a man's soap oprah (LOL)
I have not lost the basemenat/game room television to saturday, sunday and monday night football. My husband may complain about very other bill that comes to this house but the direct tv bill with the NFL package is golden. I think it's the averages man's way of dreaming to be someone else. You know how some woman say they would love to have another woman legs or body well men do the same thing with football players! (LOL)
I have learned to adjust I will watch one maybe two but when he and his friend start to watch 5 or 6 games and the highlights in between and the 6 different conversation on ESPEN I draw the line.

I love football season, actually more than either my husband or son. Once upon a time I was the baddest Wide Receiver on the block.

football is entertainment.. no different than people at concerts etc.... except that with the NFL there is massive promotion... im a steelers girl... the black and gold can be found in every state in the united states!! but yeah we need to be fans and not groupies or fana-maniacs!!! because it is strictly entertainment.. we dont need to go broke and sell things to get tickets that costs 100.00 and up when your family needs other important realistic things!!
