Well ya’ll ‘bout got to see the thug side of me today. My deepest thanks to all who keep me in pray; it was the God/dess in you, that kept me.
Guest Visitor pushed my button. Obviously, I don’t have a clue who this person is, but the venom they’re spewing is nothing short of demonic. And I don’t have a dog in this fight, but this person, though a singular coward in concealing their name, is far from alone in tactics. And something’s got to be said.
Too often, we question each other’s Christianity; we judge another’s relationship with God. We show no respect for differing opinions, traditions and perspectives; instead, we trivialize and demean. We could all be more tender from time to time.
Who are you GV? Are you truly a vicious vampire; do you attack because your own life force seems dry? Are you so repulsed by the mirror’s reflection that you fear we could/would only reject you too? Are your wounds deep and festering; are you marred and distorted by scars? Is that why you lurk with out a name?
Baby, folks here know plenty about pain. Somebody has overcome abuse, rape, violence, poverty, rejection, self-loathing; somebody here knows what it means to be homeless, hungry and empty. Somebody here came out the fires of rejection, betrayal, fear and self-doubt. Somebody here knows every word of that funky tape playing in your mind and they know how to rewrite the lyrics. Baby, you ain’t been nowhere or done nothing that somebody here can’t shout VICTORY over. Perfect? Not. Just speaking for myself. :-) In fact, I could write a dissertation on how to muck it up. But I’ve got a heart full of love and I’m happy to share. Now I’m being presumptuous, but I think that goes for most everybody here.
You ever been in the rooms? Like A.A., C.A., Al-anon etc. There’s a saying around the tables, “We’ll love you until you can love yourself.” I’m sticking my neck out, being presumptuous again. Still, I know this is a loving, supportive, Godly group of people. I know because of the way they have welcomed and accepted me. We may each have a different perception of who God/dess is, but I can confidently say I’ve never been in a group of more folks who are striving daily to walk what they talk.
How about you take of your mask and give us a chance? How about you give yourself a chance? God knows, but we all might just grow something. Friendship, Understanding, Kingdom. I’m just saying.
