Steve Harvey I disagree with your comment that bloggers are not movers and shakers (318 hits)
Don't get me wrong. I love me some Steve Harvey. However, a comment he made on the air today disappointed me. He stated that bloggers were not movers or shakers because if they were they would have no time to blog. Mr. Harvey, I beg to differ. I consider myself a mover and certainly a shaker. I blog to reach out to others and connect to those who might have a common interest. Personally, I try to stay positive for the most part. I do not use blogging to bash anyone, or make negative statements about someone. Apparently, someone had made false comments about Steve on one of their blogs and it hurt him. I can understand your pain Steve, however, please do not lump all bloggers together in one blog bashing catagory.
Tell me Steve didn't generalize the bloggers. Bloggers are movers and shakers and also newsmakers. He's had run in with a couple of gossip sites, but he needs to check the hate on the bloggers, especially since I wrote the blog that soon became 102.5 Atlanta's line up which includes Steve Harvey and every other suggestion I made as a then urban radio blogger. I was certainly planning to cover the hoodie awards (at my own expense.) Guest my plans will change. People can keep hatin on the "bloggers if they want. But thanks to us, you've never seen more African American stories in the headlines. I've been at this 6 years under one brand trying to impact the image of African Americans in media. Before that I was logging black history before blogging. What's better to do that that? He should no better than to dish generalize hate. That would be equivalent to a blogger saying, and you can quote me, "if he was really funny, he wouldn't have time to do radio, he'd be doing comedy." Don't me to cracking on Steve Harvey, but I ain't through with him yet.
