For those of you who haven't had time to follow the news, Sharon Brown is a flight attendant who was assauted on a flight by Pastor Joel Osteen's Wife. Although the air line fined Olsteen's wife for her violent behavior, apparently Ms. Brown didn't think it was enough. My husband seems to think that Sharon went too far saying that the incident had shattered her faith in church leaders. I am wondering whether a sistah will be losing her job some where down the road?
..."Brown alleges Victoria Osteen threw her against a bathroom door and elbowed her in the left breast during an outburst over a stain on her first-class seat. The Federal Aviation Administration fined Victoria Osteen $3,000 for interfering with a crew member. Victoria Osteen "clearly was angry on this flight," McKamie said. Brown wants an apology and punitive damages amounting to 10 percent of Victoria Osteen's net worth as part of her suit..."
NO man should be able to make or break your relationship with Christ. The Olsteen's are human. If she did get out of line...we we see she is paying for it but I also feel the devil will use any chance he can to try to discredit the WORD and if you put your faith in man he will win everytime. Now the fact that she is suing for sucha a high amount make me wonder. Would she be suing one of us?

The jury found Victoria Osteen not guilty and she's been cleared of the charges. I have worked with her and can attest that the accusations were completely out of character. She is one of the most gracious and kind women I have been around. I believe that whatever she said or did was taken out of context and misunderstood---and many of us have seen and or experienced the same thing. My understanding is that she has apologized for any offense to Sharon Brown. We all are fallible human beings in need of grace and we need to learn to forgive and move on.

I can't imagine V. Osteen behaving in such a way. This alleged behavior totally contradicts anything that I have seen personally. I'm also somewhat confused as to how a shove could result in hemorrhoids and mental anguish that would warrant the amount of damages the plaintiff was seeking. Like the jury, I was unconvinced of the circumstances surrounding the allegations. As far as the "faith" issue, I also perplexed as to how the infraction of one (1) individual could result in the loss of faith. It appears that the plaintiff may have misplaced her faith with imperfect church leaders. Nonetheless, I'm glad this ordeal is over.

I live in Houston and I think the whole episode was a joke on Ms. Brown behalf.
