Say It Now
Daily Inspiration

A dear friend of mine recently lost her favorite aunt. Her aunt lived a long and active life and finally succumbed to illness at the ripe old age of 93. My friend said that her aunt was as sharp as a tack all the way until the end, and until the last few weeks of her life, she lived on her own and always looked after herself. Even though her passing left my friend with heartache, it also provided her with great joy. Since childhood, my friend had written to her aunt often and shared her life and her feelings openly with her. So my friend was overjoyed when she learned from a relative that those letters were among her aunt’s most prized possessions.

This situation reminds me of a pearl of wisdom I read somewhere years ago. It goes as follows: I never met anyone on their deathbed who, when looking back on their life, wished that they would have spent more time at the office! When all is said and done, it’s the simple and most heartfelt things that bring us the most pleasure and provide us the most comfort and joy. My message today is both simple and powerful: Tell those important people in your life how you feel about them NOW before it is too late. You never know when you will no longer have the opportunity. If this strikes close to home for you today, call your loved one now!

Wishing You Great Health,
