I workout, do not eat a lot of fried foods, cut back on calories, but still picked up a few pounds. Recently, my parents came to visit. My dad has a garden. He brought with him some of his freshly grown cucumbers. There were so many I was afraid they would not be eaten fast enough and would eventually spoil. I came up with a plan. I like cucumbers, especially in salad, but never thought of them as a snack. I decided to slice them up and snack on them in-between meals. I eventually started replacing a meal or two with them. Sometimes I sprinkle them with sea salt, or add a little low-cal dressing. Recently I stir fried them with tomato, onions, a little pasta ( all veggies). I made a cucumber drink/shake with brocolli, tomato, apple, sea salt. Believe it or not, I lost 5 pounds in two weeks; and still losing. I am not as hungry and find the cucumber to be very refreshing. My skin is looking good, I am looking good and most of all feeling great. People are even commenting on my appearance for the first time in a few years. After about two to three weeks on my personal diet, I started doing some reasearch online about the cucumber. I discovered that there is such a thing as the cucumber diet. It is a fact that it gives a youthful appearance to your skin and it is a natural cleansing. Go ahead, do your own research.
